They said yes. Put it in writing.
Make your order confirmation and download the PDF, with no account and no card. A deal marked Won is still a conversation until somebody writes down what was agreed. An order confirmation is that, and it is one step from the quote they already accepted.

What you can do
- Turn an accepted quote into an order confirmation in one step, lines and terms intact
- Agree what is being supplied before anything ships or gets billed
- Convert it on to a packing slip or an invoice when the work is done
- Convert between document types when somebody changes their mind halfway through
- Let orders from your B2B store raise the documents you nominate
- Your own layout and email template, in your customer's language
How it works
-
01
Win it on the board
Opportunities move through your own stages with a value and a close date on each, so what is nearly agreed is visible before it turns into paperwork.
-
02
Confirm what was agreed
The accepted quote becomes an order confirmation carrying its lines, addresses and terms. Nothing is retyped, so nothing quietly changes between the price they agreed and the price you supply at.
-
03
Then ship it, then bill it
The same lines go on to a packing slip when the goods leave, and an invoice when it is time to be paid. Finalizing the invoice posts the accounting, so the order ends up in your books rather than in a folder.
Good to know - The pipeline board needs the CRM Pipeline extension switched on, under Settings -> Extensions. Order confirmations themselves do not: they are one of the standard document types and work on any plan.
Questions
- What is an order confirmation actually for?
- It is the point where a quote stops being an offer and becomes an agreement: what was accepted, at what price, on what terms, before anybody ships or invoices. When a dispute happens it is usually about that gap, and this is the document that closes it.
- Do I have to use one?
- No. Twelve document types is more than most businesses will ever touch, and a freelancer might live entirely on quotes and invoices. Order confirmations earn their place when there is a delay between agreeing and delivering.
- Can customers place orders themselves?
- Yes, through your B2B store. It sells from the catalog you already keep, customers order against their account using their own addresses, and each order raises the documents you nominate: an invoice, a packing slip, or both.
